I hope my first attempt at filling big shoes was okay.
I'm starting things off slowly, folks, so bear with me. You can't learn these things overnight!

Oh, how well do I know the thing about kids and common sense. I complain about it almost constantly. My older 2 are brilliant, straight-A overAchievers. Common sense = 0, nothing, zip, nada. It is incredible the number of dumb questions we deal with every day from these 2 superbrains.

Booksmarts and common sense are worlds apart. I didn't have the greatest booksmarts (mainly because I chose not to apply myself), but I think I have pretty good common sense.
