Sounds like a good time for Delco Animal Rescue, yes folks, an ambulance for inured animals:
DELCO ANIMAL AMBULANCE
January 25 - This Animal Ambulance was more than five years in the makings. With a donated truck and all volunteer staff, they are available 24 hours a day seven days a week to all of Delaware County. On Police Radio they are known as 4179-1. They can be dispatched from Fire Radio, Police Radio, or can be called directly by the homeowner at 610-522-1113. The team went through special training to handle injured animals in any situation. Animal CPR and first-aid were among a variety of special handling classes. The truck hit the street January 1st, 2003 with very minimal equipment. The company is still looking for donations from fire and ambulance companies, as well as veterinarians. If anyone can donate their unused equipment and supplies, please call the number listed above. Equipment such as gear, and O2 bottle and regulator are what is needed, but everything will help. In the first 20 days of service, the unit has already responded to 9 calls.

I am glad they sent notice to county PD's about the service Greg. This is the first I heard of it. It would be good to know, thanks for the heads up.

I'm all for a rescue mission that DOES NOT require stuffing the rescued animal in a bra.
