Is there some big national push this month for speed limit enforcement??? It seems the past two weeks the police have been out in force pulling over speeders. If this keeps up I am going to have to buy some heillium balloons to help lighten up my lead foot. Embarassed

You could move to AZ.

It seems like no one gets pulled over here for speeding.
You'll get run over if you do anything less than 70mph it seems. Neutral

Hey...I've got one of those dork mobiles like RR has.
Let's swap! Razz
She's right, it will slow you down.
You might get lucky and find a few left over french fries in between the seats.

You could try cycling everywhere. The motorcycle police just smiled and waved at me when I rolled through their little radar set-up they had going.

I have seen more police out over the last few days though. Maybe March is National Quota Month. dunno

Spring is usually when people start speeding again. Just a gentle reminder that we are still here.

Kind of like in September when we hammer the school zones.

Or Ohio or Illinois or Pennsylvania. It's been reported that the police will pass you when you're doing 95 mph.

Just as a side note: You should hear the Kid's rendition of the "I love snow" theme song in person, complete with snow dance. It is truly spectacular! Mr. Green

Yea...this is weird Shocked

I can't wait for the next nice weekend when I can race thru Radnor on my antique motorcycle...all 3 1/2 HP of raging, road burning power. Top speed is 35 mph. Then I can cause a "disturbance" at Wendys by yelling at the order taker Twisted Evil

Nothing that a Monopoly "get outa jail free card", a cherry pie, and a jar of pickles can't clear up Wink

Many years ago a buddy of mine got a speeding ticket on his bicycle. He was doing 27 mph in a 20 mph school zone. He had to pay the fine.....

Here you go RB.
You can save your money on helium and balloons in this state.
You can also keep your lead foot.
Look what's just passed in AZ.

80 mph approved by state senators
Stricter seat-belt measure falters

Arizona state senators may be sending negative messages on highway safety by clearing the way for 80-mph speeds on rural interstates and rejecting a bill to allow police to pull over drivers not wearing seat belts, activists say.

"I'm perplexed at the Legislature. They are essentially saying 'no' to stronger seat belt laws and saying 'yes' to driving faster," says Michael Frias, deputy director of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.

The speed limit legislation, approved in an 18-12 Senate vote March 9, allows the Arizona Department of Transportation to raise the speed limit to 80 from 75 mph on roads like Interstate 10 from Phoenix to Tucson. If enacted, it would be the nation's highest speed limit.
