Ok, another lame computer question from me.....
How do I put songs from CDs I have onto my computer? I'm assuming it's easy, I just don't know where to start.......
Thanks!

Don't you have a sandisk mp3 player? Didn't it come with a software disc? If not, you can download some free players, like real player (which you may already have on your computer) and your cd will pop up in there and let you transfer them.

Well, my problem is my Windows Media Player doesn't work and I haven't bugged my husband enough apparently to get him to figure out how to fix it or get someone over here to do it......
Is there some other way than through Windows Media Player?

You can use the Windows Explorer to drag-and-drop them onto the hard drive, but they're huge in their native format (called WAV -- it's a digital representation of the analog wave form of the music).
You can get MP3 "rippers" which will convert the WAV format files into MP3s. On my PC (that I used to use) I had MusicMatch which would rip and burn MP3s, but you have to register it.....or go to www.crack.cd and find a way around that....not that I ever did that...
Fortunately, you don't have to consider that. Go to http://www.mp3-converter.com/mp3_converter_freeware.htm and download the free ripper.
To play MP3s, you'll need something like WinAmp, iTunes, or MusicMatch, among others.

You ----> Me
I got the player, but am not seeing how to rip a song. I put a cd in the drive, but it's not showing up in the window. But my computer has been freaking out since I installed it.......
I did get a song to rip using Windows player. That window seems to work. I think maybe it's just my library window that's not working for some reason.
