C2 is supposed to be the trendy new beverage, advertised (as it says on the bottle) as having half the sugar of regular Coca-Cola. So after having a bottle of the regular, I thought I would give this a try. In between the two, I did neutralize the taste buds with my lunch and some sourdough pretzels.

This is, I'm guessing, supposed to have tasted like a cross between Coke and Diet Coke. But to quote Homer Simpson, "Hello, flavor!" It has less taste than any cola beverage I've ever had (which is not a bad thing - the worst ever has to be the diet + caffeine-free stuff - Coke or Pepsi, it doesn't matter). It did not matter whether I gulped it down or let it stay in my mouth a few seconds - a little something on the back of the tongue tells you you aren't drinking water, but not much else.

It's not as bad, either, as Coke II, or whatever they called that stuff years ago. But C2 is very bland and very disappointing.

thumbs down

New Coke? I'm not a big cola drinker (i prefer the Sprites of the world), so i don't think i'll be trying this one.
