short, short report.

Ran 1:47:08 with my brother.

Met G-Dawg at the start and ran with him the first coupla miles.

He's still out running the course, I'm taking a quick shower and heading in to cheer him on at the finish.

Longer report will come.

3:52:30, PR by 15+ minutes. Is that moving along, Missy?

Likewise more mischief and info later.

Longer report...

don't want to steal too much thunder, but I will say that G-Dawg did, Rock this Town! Great Performance! But, I'll leave his report to him.

Decided back in March to run this with my brother. Didn't train much, it was my brother's first half, and I kinda talked him into it. I did not know, until I finished last week's ten miler, even I could even finish. If it wasn't for Rich(my bro), I probably would not have ran. However, since he was running, I could not let him down.

I did not know what to expect at all. I was hoping for 9 minute miles, and to come in somewhere around two hours. I'm not in the best shape, and even part of me thought that was just wishful thinking.

So, race day comes...it's cool 40 at the start...and it's raining just a touch. Not too much wind, enough, but not enough to complain about.

Mile 1: 8:26 faster than I'd hoped, but it's ok.
Mile 2: 8:04 Shocked I tell bro, "we gotta slow down"
Mile 3: 8:22 I tell him again, "I gotta slow down" He says, "BS! you can do this."
Mile 4: 8:13...Bro is pumped...I'm a little Shocked
Mile 5: My groin starts hurting but not too bad.
Mile 6: missed the marker Evil or Very Mad
Mile 7: 16:29 for 5 and 6, so a 8:15 avg. Bro is pumped "on the Nuts" is what he says...Me, I'm actually surprised how good I feel.
Mile 8: 8:11 I'm like let's take it easy, he's like...we're doing fine.
Mile 9: 8:13 Right about now...I'm feeling really, really, good. Bro is pumped, because he knows he will finish his first half.
Mile 10: 8:05 I tell him....we gotta slow down, don't want to burn up. He says...We're gonna do it.
Mile 11: 7:53 Shocked I'm in shock, but there's only two to go...
Mile 12: 8:14 Last 1.1 coming up...
Mile 13.1: 8:42 We finshed together.

Final time (by my watch) 1:47:08. 8:11 per mile. Shocked

Little bro...according to the official time...beat me by 1/100th of a second. So, he wins. Mr. Green

We finished 33 and 34 overall, out of 137 runners.

Went back, showered up and put on some warm clothes, to see G-Dawg's finish. It was amazing.

Great, Great, Great, Day.

This was a great run. A fantastic day for me....I think back to a few years ago, running the Hobo Day 5K with my brother in Iraq.(I wore a stars and stripes bandana that day, for him.)

Today, we actually ran together the whole way. It was his first half, and although it wasn't my fastest...it was my best.

Thanks Rich, for inspiring me, running with me, being a good brother, but mostly, for being my best friend. I would not have come within 10 minutes of that time without you, buddy.

you know coach, you kinda suck....I really don't think you've been putting in the miles to just yank that time out. Gonna give it to you straight (from all the people that have to work their a$$es off for that time)

still love ya Mr. Green
