OK ... Arroyo is no more. What a shame - it had the city's largest selection of Tequila.
It is now Carmella's, which is Italian (and I believe even better for carbin' up than Tex Mex). I confirmed they are indeed open for business, so let's plan on meeting there on Saturday 5/3 at 4pm. Directions:
Carmella's, 1 Leverington Avenue, Manayunk, PA 19127: (215) 487-1400
From the Schuykill: Take I-76 to the BELMONT AVE exit (#338) toward GREEN LANE (from the W, turn RIGHT onto BELMONT AVE, from the E turn left). BELMONT AVE becomes GREEN LN. Turn LEFT onto MAIN ST which becomes LEVERINGTON AVE. Carmella's is up on the left just as the road curves to the left, distinguished by the huge, free parking lot.
From the Expo at Memorial Hall: Take North Concourse Drive and turn right onto Belmont Avenue at the traffic lightturn left. take BELMONT AVE towards 76. Cross under it. BELMONT AVE becomes GREEN LN. Turn LEFT onto MAIN ST which becomes LEVERINGTON AVE. Carmella's is up on the left just as the road curves to the left, distinguished by the huge, free parking lot.

Cool!! Do you know, if I'm coming down Ridge, that intersects with either Green or Belmont, no?? I can't remember how we went last time I drove from home, like from Conshy area. Do you know, El??

Why yes, I do. I used to live in Roxborough 5 minutes from Arroyo. If you take Ridge away from Plymouth/Whitemarsh towards the city, Ridge bisects Green Lane/Belmont Ave. If you go that way, you'd turn right onto Main Street but would also hit a lot of lights and traffic. Better go instead take Ridge, again towards the city, turn right (DOWN) onto Shawmont, then turn left onto Umbria Street. Pass the train station. When Umbria deadends (I believe you'll be looking at a gym sign), turn right (DOWN) onto Leverington, veering to the right when you hit Main Street. If memory serves me correctly, that is ....

Aha!!! I think I remember where you mean. I just remember all those roads being real steep hills heading down towards town and thinking, dang, I sure am glad I don't have to run these! Thanks!!

That is farther north John. The hospital the injuried party is in is at the start though
