DALLAS (AP) -- Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens tried to kill himself by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after a friend intervened, according to a police report obtained Wednesday.

I'm wondering if the pain meds they have him on are messing with his mind. He's on several--and they want him ready for the next game.

I almost feel sorry for him.

I guess I feel a little bad for him, seeing that he tried to end his life. I am sure there is much more to the story though

I'm sure there is. I can't imagine the pressure he's under.

He's been told this is his last chance--and he's been told to play nice.

But I don't think he get's it. The Eagles put up with his BS until they wised up. The Cowboys knew what they were getting into when they signed him. He has great talent, but all the money seems to have gone to his head

I'm sure we'll hear more.

A stunt perhaps? odd. Who knows?

A very sick stunt if you ask me. I hope this is something that Rosenhaus thought up to try and spin the alleged allergic reaction into an opportunity for some face time for him and TO

I feel bad for him and i partially blame him for the eagles rotten season last year. I don't like his off field antics but when he's on the field - he has the tools and he comes to play. He has his faults as we all do and I hoped he'd fall on his face in Dallas and get booed out of there - but i would never wish injury or worse for him.

Regardless - He's already been released from the hospital - if he had attempted suicide (or if hey suspect he did) wouldn't he be still under observation?

Perhaps. The rules are different for the rich.

Maybe he was released to the care of his private doctor.

how will he catch balls if he's in a straight jacket? sorry, i still think he's an azzhat. he was one before Philly, he sure was one in Philly and he hasn't changed any.

cold, calloused but that's how i see it. if it was an allergic reation i feel for him, if it was suicide i can't say i do feel for him, he came from nothing, has achieved "greatness" and still is still wanting?

It doesn't matter how much you have or how little, suicidal tendencies can be a psychological issue that sometimes needs medication.

true, but i expect it should have manifested before now, unless you want to consider his "antics" as the pleas for help.

I don't think I follow - what would he be wanting if the way to achieve it is committing suicide?
