I think if you think Islam is nothing but violence, you should find a mosque to go hang out in and learn more about it. In any case, stop dissing a religion based on the acts of the extremists within it.

There are two main divisions of Islam: the peaceful majority Sunni Muslims and the extremist Shi'a Muslims (Shi'a Muslims make up the dominant religion in Iran and eastern Iraq).

That's a bit broad of a delineation between the two sects. Osama and his crew as well as the Wahabbist madrassahs that preach anti-Westernism funded out of Saudi Arabia are Sunnis.
Shia's are the minority in Islam, always have been, and have traditionally been quite persecuted and generally discriminated against by their Sunni coreligionists.
There is good and bad in both groups.

Yes, agreed.
*I will also admit there might be a flaw in my description (extremist vs. peaceful) of both Muslim groups and I cannot find my notes to confirm nor deny  I apologize.
