Went to the mall to grab some run gear- 20-25% off all running apparel. I ended up with a pair of Nike dri-fit tights and a short sleeve coolmax Saucony tee. Mr. Green Anyone else?

i inadvertantly went shopping... i gained about 10 lbs recently because of my thyroid medicine so none of my pants fit. i had the intentions of swinging by the mall to check out few stores. i wasnt planning on getting anything unless i found a realy great pair of jeans...

well im really glad i decided to hold off on the $60 gap jeans because i found some that fit even better for 15 bucks!! so i got two pairs of those and then i found some really nice cashmere blend sweaters at target for 1/2 price so i got 3 of those... and a cute cami/boyshort set... i stopped there since i really want to check out some other sales too...

this is my "yea, i have jeans that fit" dance Mr. Green

BOXING DAY.

The box was invented on December 26th. 1602 in Ely,Cambridgeshire, England and is named after its inventor.
George Rupert BOX who was trying to create a new type of drinking vessel using five peices of flat wood.
His invention was ahead of its time for nobody could think of a use for it until a neibour Daniel Robert LID created a final touch for the device on June 1st. 1609
The "lid" as it became known in honour of its inventor, saved the box from extinction and the "box with the lid" spread rapidly and changed the world.
It is strange that while we celebrate boxing day, December 26th: lidding day on June 1st seems to have been forgotten and lost in the mists of time.

Boxing Day
The day after Christmas, the Feast of St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr, is better known as Boxing Day. The term may come from the opening of church poor boxes that day; maybe from the earthenware boxes with which boy apprentices collected money at the doors of their masters' clients.

Nowadays, we often see, in certain families, gifts (boxes) given to those who provide services throughout the year.

Muchas gracias senor! Finally, I can claim I did learn something in 2003. Wink

And Phar Lap, I'm putting lidding day on my calendar and starting a grass roots movement to have it made an international holiday. Mr. Green

We hit the mall to get me some perfume & Libby's ears pierced (late present for her) and that's about it... mall was very busy. Then hit Zany Brainy for their going out of business sale, but didn't find anything we wanted, and I wasn't going to buy something just to buy it, particularly the day after it looked like FAO Schwartz blew up in our living room (they didn't have anything Will wanted, and he was the only child I took with me on that particular venture). So then we hit Walmart, also very busy, and bought Libby the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and a new gameboy game for Will... My aunt sent the kids money, and as much as I felt one more gift was unnecessary, it was only fair that they get a present from her.

I've never heard of boxing day before but it sounds like a good time to go shopping for running/training gear and apparel. The Nike dri-fit tights sound like a good idea now that the weather is getting colder.
