The last few days of school are such a tedious waste of time and effort.
The kids don't care anymore, the teachers are trying to reign them in, and all any of us really want to do is go home.

I WISH I was bored....my boss is still in Seattle, emailing me frantically every five minutes with a new emergency, my laundry basket is overflowing, I have speakers coming in tonight for a big seminar here and it's raining in the Midwest so I know flights will be delayed, I haven't even thought about packing for Madison, have to get the car inspected tomorrow, trying to finish my mortgage paperwork, make an appointment with the real estate attorney, ACKKKKKKKKKK!!!!
Calgon, take me away.....

My kids have four days of school this week and four next. All three have two field trips this week and next. Can't imagine field trips are easy on the teachers.

Unless you teach specials like pe, and when the kids go on field trips, you don't have class! That's kinda nice.

yes, but most of the time those classroom teachers manage to schedule the field trip on a day when they have no prep periods. And last week I had a class come back from a field trip 10 minutes before they were scheduled to come to me  do you think they were ready to do any work? (and yes the teacher sent them to me)

Kim is taking finals this week, (in first grade )
She is done is 2 weeks. Her school is closing so she starts at a new school in the fall
Mike finishes up pre-school Thursday.
