PostPosted: 01/02/03 - 17:40    Post subject: Blind Dates (your experiences).
A few days ago I mentioned something about getting set up for a date to a woman that's a teacher by her mom who's:

Bear with me here.

Is a client of the lady (Olivia) who does my head (shaves my head that is).

But.

Her daughter (the teacher) is a client of a another hairdresser (Olivia nephew Damien).

Now call me vain, or afraid or just plain nervous. Shocked Embarassed Shocked

In my lifetime I never had a blind date before.
Now the mother thinks we would be a great match (got her sold don't even know her) based on some of the things I say and the way I act while I'm there.

Of course if she knew the company I keep here, I wonder if that would change.... Smile Smile Smile

Just Kidding.

So any-poop, for those who have done the blind date thing, did you go through this as well, and any comments, would help.

Also was the whole experience worth it?

Feel like Joe Millionaire.....without the millions.

At best, she'll be nice and personable and you'll have a just a nifty ol time.

At worst, it could go bad...real bad and you you'll walk away jaded and bitter for the rest of your life.

No seriously, I've been on one and although I never did talk to her ever again, it was a great time and a good learning experience. Which is why you should definitely give it a try.

It's not a blind date if you have to pay her when the date is over. Wink

I've had some rough experiences...my best recommendation is don't commit to too much, just dinner. Or better still, just coffee. Then go from there.

My worst blind date experience was when I was the maid of honor in a wedding being set up with the best man in the wedding. how cute puke Um, to say the least, it didn't go so well.

The best I went out with again but only a couple times.

My parents and 2 different sets of aunts and uncles met on blind dates, so who knows? dunno

Good luck and of course, post the results! Very Happy

Only been on one blind date. It wasn't all that great but it wasn't too bad either. She was gorgeous and built very well and I'm sure she thought I was a cretin. I couldn't stop staring at her various assets long enough to engage in any sense of intelligent conversation. I'm not sure why my buddies g/f thought we'd be a good match. I was a beer swilling dope smoking crazy and she was quiet and intelligent.

Have you considered shaving your head yourself?

Seems like it would save you lots of trouble... Mr. Green

I would try the date, somewhere public, fun. You have absolutely
nothing to lose and everything to gain! Very Happy

good luck! My one blind date went really well, but not well enough to marry
him.

Amen to cutting your own hair although I don't shave my head. It's just too dang convenient to do it yourself. I just cut mine the other day and it feels great.

Yes, but think of all the blind dates you've missed out on! Who knows who
you could have been fixed up with. Of course, if there's a Mrs. PH, I can
understand why she wants you to avoid blind dates. Confused Women can be sooo closed minded at times!

Well sure.

But this place is like a block from home, has nothing but good looking women getting their hair done, most of them have also has some cosmetic surgery in the chest cavity.

Gives me something to look forward to every 2 weeks.

Not to mention my current situation. Smile

If I didn't like her I would just re-arrange the furniture...
