OK, so I bought these really bizarre refrigerator magnets the other day. Kind of as a gift to give to people and one set for our new place. Well, someone else had the same idea and also purchased 2 sets. So we had 5 sets total, 2 too many. I'n on vaca until Thursday, and since I wa out running errands I said I'd take 2 back, as I still had receipt, etc.
Christmas shopping itself was nuts today, but I found a few really nice things I wasn't expecting to be able to afford on sale so that was cool. Except for Lord and Taylor where they followed me around like I was going to steal something because I had on no makup, yoga pants and a t-shirt. I swear, you go in there dressed up and you're fine, go in semi-grubby and they treat you like a potential criminal.
Anyway, went to return unopened magnets, and they wouldn't take them back. On a little tiny sign on the cash register, hidden by a display, is a sign that says no refunds OR exchanges. Honestly, if you were standing in line you wouldn't see it. I asked to speak with the manager, and he got really Bitchy, even though the sign was hidden. I finally got him to let me exchange for some books of similar value but I had hoped to get the cash back... I've been in there a ton of times and have never seen that sign. I am never shopping there again. Thanks for letting me vent.
