With some persuasion from Elkid and taking some time to think about it, I have officially decided to train for an Ironman next summer. The race, Lake Placid.

I have the run portion down, but I still have ALOT of work to do. I have to build my swim and my bike. The bike won't be hard to build but the swim will be difficult for me. I believe though that if I start training in August, I will be in great shape for the race next July.

Ok. Now that I have said it in public. It's even more real and more of a challenge. I have to do this.

The hard part of an Ironman is getting registered. They sell out in like 24 hours and they cost $450 to register.

Good luck

Yikes! Thanks for letting me know. I'll make sure to register as soon as it opens on July 25.

NICE! I'll be up there this year to cheer on Dancer and Happy, and sign up myself. Just stand by your PC on the ready and you'll get in.

Now I'll have one more virtual training partner for the behemoth!

I thought the race was the 25th?

I knew you were going to be there this year. Are you going next year to race or be support?
