Purple, you mentioned doing intervals in your July 5 post.....how does one do bike intervals? Do you go for speed, cadence, distance, like doing 400's on the track, or a combo of all?

I based mine on time and heart rate.

I did 2 min. of > 160 BPM then 2 min. of 'recovery' which is letting the HR drop to about 130 BPM. I only did it 5 times because I was already whooped when I started and probably should have picked a different day to do it.

So it is pretty much like doing track work in running, except that with running I guess we measure time more than anything. Hmmm....yes, I agree.....doing it as your third workout of the day might not have been a good idea! Wink I wonder if as the first workout would be better and then whatever else in the PM as recovery work??
