I would appreciate some suggestions or tips. I am not bad and can boast with pretty good average speed. However I aim much higher, so I would like to increase my average speed. I know that there are many ways but only one is the best. So, what is the best way to increase average speed?

Well there are several ways to increase your average speed. Basically you have to increase your speed and endurance. Sprinting intervals, if done properly, can work wonders. Also, economizing with your energy will help you to achieve greater speed. There are several tactics to save your energy for the finish without slowing down too much during the first part of the race. Talk to some more experienced colleagues who can provide you some valuable tips.
