Small(ish)--Indigo Girls came to UK
Large/arena (by arena do you mean stadium? because I myself a youngun have only seen concerts in arenas....) Either U2 Elevation tour 2 years ago Compaq Center or Dixie Chicks 3 years ago Freedom Hall, great great show.
In the stadium category: I had an opp to see U2 in the Astrodome in 97ish but stupidly passed it up me--> <---me but there was Bon Jovi this year in Reliant stadium. Twas awesome.
Special- Horde festival Riverbend Cinci 8ish years ago, Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, Lenny Kravitz, Rusted root and assorted others.
My own category: outside: Jimmy Buffett Riverbend (where's Trekay??)

Small : Peter Gabriel, NYC, 2000.
Large: Eurythmics with opening act Howard Jones, 1983. Close second: U2 Joshua Tour 1987, Meadowlands.
Special: Lollapalooza 1, 1991.
Arena Rock: By this I mean huge outside concerts, like Journey in the 80s or anything at Red Rocks or Central Park, usually "corporate rock". Me - Poison, 1986. Somewhere in upstate NY - can't remember where. But it was out of control.

Small: Jennifer Knapp, Minneapolis, December 01. It was a solo show and was the best show i've seen. That girl can rock the guitar.
Medium: Tori Amos, Orpheum, November 01. Just a girl and piano and no backing band. Fantastic.
Special: Lilith Fair 3 (Sarah McLachlan, Dixie Chicks, Indigo Girls, Sheryl Crow), Canterbury Park, August 00

There's a guy down at Bob's Pump and Munch that sometimes breaks out a mean harmonica.
Rural Minnesota band shells just don't pull in big name bands.
