| You sure you don't mean LSD? I'm talking Sheridan Road. Start in Evanston near Northwestern U. Head north through Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka, and then Glencoe where you rip through the hills at a scenic 15 mph. That part, driven in winter, can be an adventure. But in autumn, not much is better.
Oh... NO Chicago teams are worth watching, except maybe the minor league hockey and baseball teams (the Wolves and Kane County Cougars, repsectively).

Its all coming back to me....I believe it was "the ryan" that lead me to Waukegan instead of Naperville one time on a very very confused trip about/around/through/over/within Chicagoland one time.
Oh--
Best: if you're single the social life and goings on (maybe even if you're not)
worst: the word "Chitown"

The Ryan is not your friend. |
You've been in the heat too long woman. Blackhawks are almost as suck as the Rangers.

No, I'm talking Sheridan Road from Zion to Old Orchard Rd.
Lake Shore Drive isn't pretty either.
Pffff, The North Ryan will take you to Waukegan everytime. The South Ryan will take you to Gary, IN. The Stevens West will take you to Naperville.
Roacher...HOCKEY AND BASEBALL RULE. Oh..and I look hot in a Blackhawks Jersey.

to those and I liked Due (sp? on Wabash) too
I think my friends and I are probably the only people on earth who like this place as well. You don't go there as much for chicago style pizza but its excellent. Right next to where Al Capone and the Valentine's day massacre happened on Clark. Half my friends hate it, so go with caution. I love it.

This is another thing I don't like here - it would be a lot easier, especially for out-of-towners, if they just referred to the expressways by their numbers and not give each one a name.

You don't. It's a dirty corrupt town that smells funny.
Otherwise it's a Music Man Song:
Gary, Indiana!
What a wonderful name,
Named for Elbert Gary of judiciary fame.
Gary, Indiana, as a Shakespeare would say,
Trips along softly on the tongue this way--
Gary, Indiana, Gary Indiana, Gary, Indiana,
Let me say it once again.
Gary, Indiana, Gary, Indiana, Gary, Indiana,
That's the town that "knew me when."
If you'd like to have a logical explanation
How I happened on this elegant syncopation,
I will say without a moment of hesitation
There is just one place
That can light my face.
Gary, Indiana,
Gary Indiana,
Not Louisiana, Paris, France, New York, or Rome, but--
Gary, Indiana,
Gary, Indiana,
Gary Indiana,
My home sweet home.

But wait! I understand that Gino's has moved and is now west of Michigan Ave. Can I get a witness? And...has this affected the pies? The, er, ambiance?

It ends just past Ft. Sheridan around Old Elm (sorry, I thought Old Orchard). It picks up again after Half Day.
