They all have different flavors.
Green ones are kinda zesty.
Orange are sweeter.
I've had red and I want to say they were like green only stronger, but I don't really remember.
What's the story on the yellow ones?

Yellow = pretty mild/sweet.
I just ate a whole red pepper. On sale at Kroger for $0.59/ea.
I bought enough to have one every day next week.

Oh, without doubt! The flavor is deeper.
Yellow goes well when grilled with souvlaki...all kabob-like and stuff.
$0.59 per pepper, PH? At that price, grabbing a few extra for dicing then freezing would be a good idea. I think that the green bells are about $0.99/per pepper at Kroger's here in town.

That is a good deal. I normally get the green bellpeppers for 75 cents each, the other colors are all like $1.75. I plan on growing my own this spring though.

| Quote: | | The color can be green, red, yellow, orange and, more rarely, white, purple and brown depending on when they are harvested. Specifically, green peppers are unripened bell peppers. Differently-colored peppers have different taste: Green peppers tend to be bitter, orange peppers are slightly bitter, red peppers tend to be sweeter, and yellow peppers are slightly sweet and tangy |
