The Colorado Kimche H3 is having a "Beer-Mile" this Saturday, 5 Aug.
The beer mile is what it sounds like: 4 laps around a standard 1/4 mile track (or 400 meters for you metric folk) with a standard 12oz beer (355 ml) each lap.
I've never done a beer mile before so it should be interesting!!!
I didn't know this but there is a website that talks about the beer-mile: www.beermile.com.
Its not a hash website, and people that do "legal beer miles" can post their times. The website even lists legal beers to use, based on alcohol content, size, etc.

Beer mile notes...
Colorado Kimche HHH #82.
I did it in 20:01, without hurling!!! The "winner" did it in 8:03. We only had two pukers, earning a penalty lap each.
Then there was Team Brass Monkey, who drank two full Brass Monkeys each. For the uninitiated, such as myslef, a Brass Monkey is indeed that funky monkey, composed of Old English 40oz and Orange Juice...So they drank 80oz of premium malted beverage, compared to the 48oz of the rest of us.
After everyone was done, we still had a standard hash circle...
Thoughts... much sillyness. After drinking a full can of beer prior to each lap, you have to burp the get the gas out, but be careful that the burp doesn't lead to a puke!!!
The Beer Mile is not exclusivly a hash thing. Check out www.beermile.com for details, results, rules, etc...
