But is it just me, or is the pitcher the only one doing the work on the team?

Sort of. But it is the only sport where the defense controls the ball. 
I correct myself - defense controls the ball in cricket and tin-can alley too.

Tagliabue--the NFL commissioner--thinks that watching baseball is about as exciting as standing in line at the grocery store.
I'd have to agree, excpet after I stand in line I don't have a horrendous sunburn AND I have oreos to boot!!!

uuugh, they are both boring as heck. brain numbing. get rid of BOTH of them.
curling is as much a sport as darts. strategy, sure....SPORT??? yeah right. just like bass fishing 
curling? a waste of a perfectly good ice rink/pond. let the speedy, figure and hockey folks on it and go over to the curling lanes for a beer
