Posted: 01/09/05 - 20:26 Post subject: Bad Shopping Karma Day
#1 - We go to Linens and Things to get those suspender things to keep the sheets on the bed, because between the extra thick mattress, the hot monkey love, and the fact that my job has me dreaming bad things, we have to remake the bed every. frickin. day. There are two girls in the entire store and like 20 people in line. What if someone ripped off the place? No manager to be seen anywhere! I was angry about this not because I had to wait, but because I had a concern for the girl's safety.
#2 - Old Navy. Ba$tards. Their signage is incredibly misleading and the put stuff that is on sale next to stuff that isn't on sale. Two for $11..and then in tiny little letters "each". Well why don't you just frikin say two for $22 dollars you buttheads instead of tricking us into thinking that we're getting two for $11?? And what's with your skirts and pants? You apparently have to be built like a pencil or a California Raisin to look good even though they might fit.
#3 - We knew better, but we didn't heed our instincts. Wal-Mart. Two issues cropped up there.
Dear Wal -Mart - Do you think that blaring loud music through blown speakers is going to make my shopping experience any better? No. Frankly, it makes me . It makes me want to reach over and the two ladies who created the second FUBAR by the neck and ask them WHY they felt it necessary to put all of thier MONTHLY GROCERY SHOPPING into one cart and then spend a half hour sorting out what was whose. They HAVE additional carts, ladies.
The only saving grace there was that someone with a sense of humor and a Sharpie had blackened the teeth of the model on the front of a L'Oreal hair coloring box, because apparently she was worth it. To tell the truth, if the woman with body odor and five children had moved rather than taking up the entire aisle, I never would have seen it. So...thank you for that, anyway.
ARGHHHHHH!!

good karma day for me......
and at Old Navy nonetheless. but I'm always very careful about reading their signs. I've seen their tricks before. I got a blue thermal undershirt, and a nice cotton button-down shirt.
grocery store: so this is what it's like when the Steelers aren't playing on sunday afternoon. crowded, and long lines. I did manage to pick a line that had just 2 people in front of me, the first was nearly finished, and the next one had fewer items than me, so I got out of there pretty quickly.

Went to WalMart before the game. Got the food, and other minor things we needed. Winter wiper blades for the Wife's Trailblazer. Super deep floor mats for the daughter's Aveo so the melting snow will not wet her floor mats...
Mob scene all the way. 3- 4 deep at every check out. Only good thing: the bank had this really really big bowl of Hershey kisses out...

Good shopping day for me. Hit some of the outlet store nearby. Got some Banana Republic jeans and chinos for $33. Total.

i spent $100 on four bras and 5 pairs of panties at VS on sat. i love their semi annual sales.
however, if one more sales girl asked me if i needed a bag or if i had a store credit card, i was going to bash them over the head with my purse.

I went entirely out of my way to buy this home design program to help finish our basement with. After looking at it I wish I'd never bought it. $70 freeking dollars wasted.

That part was Ranger's idea. I really just need to say that I am an active sleeper.

If Ray's voice doesn't give you chills, your chiller's broken.

Wal-Mart is an evil, horrible place. I can't go in there without getting lost and wanting to cry. Seriously. The people depress me.
