August has been a terrible month for me. My month total for mileage is 21 miles. The sucks! I have been traveling a lot and then I pulled my Groin and now my left foot really hurts! I hope you all are having a better month than I am!

Well, if it's any consolation, I've only run 18.4 this month. 90% were with you. Are you still planning on the Fox Cities Half with your injuries and all?

Right now I am, but if things get better soon I will have to postpone and that would really piss me off.

I am doing okay with mileage this month but it has been a major PIB! I overtrained last month and now I am paying for it. The next 2 -3 weeks I am planning on averaging about 22 miles or so.
Good luck and sometimes your body needs the rest!

August has been a pretty good month for me. My mileage is slowly creeping back up and the times are slowly going back down. Getting some longer runs in, but still aren't up to a 15 mile long run where I want to be.
Me left outer knee is kinda sore after Saturday's long run (10 mi.) and I ran on it Sunday anyway. Took Monday and Tuesday off from running and did 4 slow and easy this morning and everything feels better.
Hang in there Paul, you can't travel forever! The heat and humidity of August aren't exactly condusive to running tons either.

Heat and Humidity sux here too on the right coast. It has cooled off a little. I think everyone's training has been effected. Fall can't come soon enough.

I don't even have the heat and humidity to blame...how sad! this month has been pathetic...so pathetic that my lack of running has affected my mood lately.
tonight I will try again and hope for no asthma.
But at least I'm still lifting so I can be as big as Gilbert Goddfried someday...
