Awful pain in the neck

I am a true bike fan. I love to ride, exchange my impressions with my fellow riders and pick up some new tips and suggestions. I have (literally) pain in the neck. It is getting worse and I am afraid that the moment when I’ll have to give up cycling because of that is close. I don’t know what to do about this awful pain in the neck. Please help.

Pain in the neck can occur for many reasons. If you don’t wipe your neck with a towel after you had a shower or sweated heavily and expose it to even small breeze or draft you can end up with not only pain but totally stiffed or frozen neck. Although it isn’t dangerous it hurts and is very annoying. If you have compressed discs in your neck you may feel pain. There are many things that can cause that but one thing is sure, you have to go and see your doctor to find out what the real cause of this is.
