Posted: 10/29/03 - 16:59 Post subject: Avon Calling
for quite some time now, I have been bringing Avon brochures to work with me because my wife is selling it. I/she has a couple of customers that buy things here at both of my schools. Considering what has happened in the past month or so, should I continue selling Avon for her? it's no big deal to drop off a book to some fellow teachers then give my wife the orders.....but I feel like I'm doing her a big favor (she gets all the money) and she still gets to treat me like crap.
even after yesterday's support hearing, I had to stop by the house to give her an avon order. I went when I knew she wouldn't be home. but I still placed the order and will deliver the goods and give her the money.
discuss.

Start selling it yourself, out doing her in Avon sales would be a sweet little victory, no?
Sorry, I am tad competitive.

No. It just opens up the opportunity for her to chew you out. If the sales are that important to her, she can do them herself. Plus, she will see that you were doing her a favor.
On the other hand, your job is the one place she hasn't tainted--do you really want her anywhere near your cow-orkers?

Dude, if it helps her out $$-wise, go for it... that's the so much the less she'll be crying to you for when she's got cash emergency.
Unless she spends every penny she makes in 2 days. Then screw it, and screw her.
I have thousands in the bank from AVON. It's my money and it's for stuff for me and for the kids... like next June for my birthday they and I are going to spend a week at The Plaza. So exciting!

HELL NO unless you are a glutton for punishment.
Best to just leave the brochures there with a note: "as of today, please contact the saleswoman directly". Then tell the soon-to-be-ex that you did that. This way she won't be cut off altogether from that business (i.e you would be the bad guy) and her customers know where to go.

I hate to be the one to riun a party, but doesn't the money she earn also go to your children's needs? Coming from a broken home, it's so much easier on kids when their parents get along, even if they have to put up appearances. You can hit me if I'm just making the whole thing worse.
Have I said too much?
