Posted: 06/16/03 - 10:32 Post subject: Ashland Tri for Dancer
Yesterday was a great day for me as well at the Tri. 1mile swim, 26mile bike and 6 mile run. The course is really hilly for the bike and the run! Swim was flat as a pancake
I ended up taking 13 minutes off my time from last year. Finished 18/33 in age group and 293/422 overall. (I'm still slow but getting better!) I enter the 35-39 age group in July...so happy to get out of the 30-34 AG!
Stats: Total time 2:51:40
Swim 30:29
T1 6:05 (HUGE hill to run up and taking off wetsuit isn't easy for me!)
Bike 1:26:44
T2 1:48
Run 46:34.
The swim was the most improved event for me. I was comfortable after the first 5 minutes and when the wave behind me came up on me I didn't stop swimming. I just kept on going and tried to draft. I took 4 minutes off my swim time from last year which was good for me. I also had a good improvement on the run. Took 4:45 off my run time.
I agree with Mike, the ironman training seems to be paying off. 6weeks to go!

I told you you'd kick butt! I see how the ironman training and track workouts have made you faster everyday when I run with you!!!!
