Shots from the color-luscious Georgia Aquarium. It's a feast for the eyes and the camera.

Out of consideration for the fishies I had my flash turned off most of the time. This made for a few blurry shots. A tripod would have been useful.

they have one of those that sits off the shore in Grand Caymen. If you go out at night it'll come right up to you and let you "pet" it. I have the coolest picture with me hugging it.

Cool pics Hyper. That is on my list of things to do next year.

sigh. as cool as the aquarium was (dont get me wrong, it was VERY cool), i was slightly disapointed. well, not really disapointed, but maybe my expectations were way, way too high.

i loved, it and i will most def go back (when there are less people).

i have some pics too and will post them when i get a chance.....

That's awesome...we have a public aquarium similar to that in Singapore (with the glass tunnel)

I'm especially impressed with the sharks and rays...especially the sawfish!

I am very surprised that there are hammerheads in the exhibits (2 species?- I know one's a bonnethead, the other I'm not sure)...I read somewhere that they are hard to maintain in public aquariums..

And is that a whale shark that I'm seeing?? Shocked

yup, there are two whale sharks, both babies. and 5 beluga whales.

one of my favorite exhibits was the one that had the ratfish in it. i talk about them in the class that i teach and was excited to actually see one in person.
