I wouldn't go near it. Don't really know the long term affects.

I would steer clear too.

I didnt really have a reason for taking it...other than its claims of eternal youth and beauty! Wink
I am not into taking stuff anyway...I want to work for the results!

The only times the I see something on it is when I get spammed with junk e-mails about it. It's credibility rating takes a pretty big dive when they try to market it that way.

As far as I know it is illegal to use without a perscription.

Those who do use it (it is pure form not in the watered down ads that are sent to people) do so illegally. Though I think it is quite expensive in excess of $1000.00 a month. It does weird things to the body too. If you ever read Muscle and fitness, anyone with a very broad chin or larger than life belly likely is on HGH.

Why do people take this again? Is it to improve performance or something?

not a good idea. i do research on endocrine disruptors and even those kinds of hormones that are normally present in the body can screw up operations when they are in excess or out of balance.

unless its medically neccessary, stay as far away as possible.

according to the CBS article, it claims to prevent

1. decreased muscle mass and loss of strength
2. an increase in body fat
3. thinning of bones
4. declining cardio endurance

my muscles were non existant, bones were thinning to the point of medication, had no wind whatsoevah and my rear was broadening.

so i bought a BowFlex and started running two years ago.

my bone density has increased almost a full percentage point to the level of normalcy (WITHOUT MY FOSAMAX)

my upper body strength is what it has never been

i can run a 5K in 25 minutes at 44 years old

went from a size 10 to a size 6.

I'd forget the pill. Just "do it". Mr. Green
