I went to bed a happy girl. Sorry to any Lakers fans but I was glad to see their streak end. I am hoping San Antonio takes it all the way. Either way I figure a Texas team will win this year.
Just wish our dang Rockets could get their act together. Then we'd have 3 awesome teams in the Lone Star state.

I wish I could've seen David Stern's sad face after the buzzer sounded....His pockets will only be half full now that the Lakers are out!
And boy, did the fold in the 4th quarter!
The Kings/Mavs game was a good one as well. I see the Mavs taking game 7. You Texans will sure be happy than, yes?

I didn't stay up for the Mavs game but heard they lost. The are good my BF thinks they will take the series and then take the Spurs.
That is still good. I am betting Texas will hold the title this year.
Did you see the Lakers owner? He looked shell shocked to be sure. I guess he thought they'd pull though in the end like so many other times.
My theory was they wouldn't go 4 in a row. Has it ever been done? I know about different 3-peats but has a team gone 4 in a row?

I have been awaiting this post.
Oh well, congrats to the spurs, they certainly earned it this year.
I really don't care who wins now, as long as it's not the whiny-assed Kings.
The way I look at it is: Kobe is only 24 and Shaq is only 32(? i think) and they are still young, and if they ever get "hungry" again, they can do it again.

They can only do it again if they get some younger, fresher legs around them and decide they actually have to play a full season to win it all. I can't stand that team for the fact that they slacked off during the regular season because they thought they were good enough. Serves them right! Besides, I think Kobe is looking elsewhere.

I agree, they do some some help there, that is for sure.
What do you mean, they have to play a full season? They didn't last year! However, the whole they dug themselves this year did kill them.
I have also heard Kobe is looking. Hopefully Dr. Buss will open up his pockets and prevent that from happening. Also, Kobe is very aware of history, and a big Magic Johnson fan, so maybe minority owner Johnson can keep him in LA :

NOO WAY!! Kobe's got it made there, Rando. He's not looking elsewhere, brotha!
You're gonna see some major dumping this off season. The Laker's role players like Fischer and possibly Horry will be traded off (their value is incredibly over-hyped because of the rings they wear, but teams will still 'bite')...and the Laker's will bring in a mid-tier star to complement Kobe and Shaq...

Just in case anyone else was wondering.
The Celtics won 7 straight titles starting with the 1958-1959 season. Lost the title in 66-67 then won it the next 2 years.
I had no idea. That is amazing. They are the only team to win more than 3 in a row.
And I'm with shelflifers I can't see Kobe going anywhere I think they will change the players around him and Shaq. I heard last night Horry may want to come back to Houston. I don't think we will pay him what he wants though.

I am not really a Lakers fan, other than the fact that they're the home team. I refuse to talk about the Clippers.
I'm kind of sorry to see them lose for that reason... it would have been cool to go 3 for 3 for major sports championships.
(BECAUSE THE DUCKS ARE GOING ALL THE WAY!)
But, I always like to root for the underdog, and it will be nice to see someone else win for a change.

I thought I'd look up my question since I had been wondering. It threw my theory out the window though! Boy did the Celtics have a run.
If TV is on then it is usually basketball or baseball. Not too crazy about football. And I really like to fish although cleaning then is another matter.
