I just picked up Redhat 8.0 and I'm going to do a dual-boot system hopefully by the end of the week. I've downloaded ISOs of a number of different Linux OS's before and installed them. Some with greater success than others, but I've always ended up going back to a Windows environment because I've always needed a piece of software that was only available in Windows.
Let's hope for a successful install and no compatibility issues. :fingerscrossed:

I haven't messed with linux since my IT days. (4 years ago) A friend of mine used Red Hat (not sure of the version) and likes it. He has his entire internet setup (firewall, routers, mail servers, etc) running off of freeware. He likes the challenge. Good luck!

I'm working on installing a Linux server in my dorm room. It'll be version 7.3. I doubt I will do 8 right away.

does one have to know what it is in order to know if they are using it?
