well, if you don't like this thread.....the best free speech is.....Don't.open.it. I laid it out, if you can't understand where I'm coming from, well....that's fine. Actually, I'm very happy if you "don't understand". |
Actually I am interested in the thread and that is why I have posted to it.....I understand what you are saying but just not agreeing with it.

I don't think I subscribe to the idea that this is a democracy. It's an internet forum, established by one person, and HE has the right to do as he sees fit. I would suggest that if people want to be in a place where the Idea's A, B, and/or C need not be exercised, go start your own forum and run it as YOU see fit. No one has the right to post here. It is a privilege, for better or worse.
As far as who has been banned and why, it's really no one's business but the banner and banee. I do think it is in very poor taste to air this stuff right here. Two wrongs, whether perceived or real, do not make a right. Ever.

I feel bad for asking the Q.
Since I was never on t eh receiving end of it, I cannot say and it wouldn't be for me to say anyway.
This thread was a lot more fun when it was about Jello wrestling.

sue, I don’t think anyone is saying you don’t have the right to think elkid needed to be banned, just that there doesn’t need to be an open celebration about it.
I don’t have an opinion as to whether the ban was warranted or not, but I’ve certainly seen it go both ways (not meaning from you), and I’ve seen people here stick in snide little remarks that were obviously meant to needle her, and I think it is dishonest for those people to sit here and pretend it was all so one-sided.

I agree. Howzabout you retitle the thread "Riff Raff Jello Matchups You'd Like to See?"
Bet we could get this baby up to 300 posts by dinnertime!

You're wrong. Wherever there is a dead horse sticks will be found.

Wow. You have a freedom of speech on a privately run & maintained web site. News to me. Does PH = Congress?
| Quote: | Amendments to the Constitution
CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PROPOSED BY CONGRESS, AND RATIFIED BY THE LEGISLATURES OF THE SEVERAL STATES, PURSUANT TO THE FIFTH ARTICLE OF THE ORIGINAL CONSTITUTION
Article [I.]
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
