I don't know about where to find shoes online. But I'd never buy shoes online unless I was ordering the exact same pair as I currently have or just tried on. Shoe sizes are never constant. I tried on my roommate's Kayano VIII's right before I bought my Kayano IX's and his 10 1/2 were way too small, yet the IX's I bought were 10 1/2 and fit perfectly. Sure enough, the new model was about a quarter inch longer.

Do you have a Sports Authority in your area? The local ones in Atlanta have a buy one, get the 2nd pair half off sale going on (it's been going on forever). There are only a few select Nike shoes that don't fall under that deal. I've picked up my last 4 pairs that way and plan on doing it again when I need 2 more pair.

I think I paid about $130 for 2 pair of Asics GT-2080.

ask and ye shall receive..

Road Runner Sports
Kelly's running warehouse (RRS closeout). I notice the site is down today dunno
Holabird ..probably the lowest prices you'll find
RnJ sports ..more low prices
Tel-a-Run ..an occasional deal
Run N Fun ..decent prices here too
Sierra Trading Post ..takes some digging, but the closeout running shoes get to be a steal.

I'm probably forgetting a few, but these are the one's I've found to be the best prices.

..couple more I thought of

Sports basement
National Running Center

And another penny-pincher tidbit.. if there is a major marathon happening in your area, go to the race expo and do some shopping. Not only do the vendors put out some good bargains, but if you get there also during the last hour of the expo, you'll likely see some nice price slashing Mr. Green
