India, calm, 5 years old, "Sorry we can't answer your phonecall"
Bella, in a frenzy of excitement, 3 years old, "PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE!!"

If you're callin' 'bout the car I sold it
If this is Tuesday night I'm bowlin'
If you got somethin' to sell, you're wastin' your time
I ain't buyin'
If it's anybody else, wait for the tone
You know what to do
And PS, if this is Arlington, I still love you
If it's Friday night I'm at the ballgame
And first thing Saturday, if it don't rain
I'm headed out to the lake
And I'll be gone all weekend long
But I'll call you back when I get home on Sunday afternoon
And PS, if this is Arlington, I still love you

Hi, you have reached the Gray residence. We are not in at the moment, but please leave a message at the beep......beep...
Pretty original if you ask me.

Almost as original as Alan's. I like that bit about the Gray residence though. Maybe we'll have to try that.

I listen to too much country music. I recognize copdotcom's message.
Ours is pretty dull too. I can't remember what it is though since I have teenagers and they answer the phone 1/2 way through the first ring.

That will throw 'em off the trail

When I was younger and single, I used to have a great message. People I didn't even know would call my apartment just to hear the message. If I answered the phone, they'd ask me to hang up and not answer so they could hear the message.

No one can pronounce or spell our name any way, so why not go with something totally new. When we leave our names at a restaurant we usually say Grant.
