First of all, thanks to everyone who helped me with the previous gift suggestion.
Well things have been going quite well with the guy I have been seeing, and his birthday is coming up this weekend! I have no clue what to get for him. I don't know him well enough to get him something special. We haven't 100% figured out each other's personalities yet. Any ideas out there? He'll be 28.

This and Christmas have GOT to be the toughest occasions of a new relationship. You don't want to overdo and make them feel awkward, but if you're like me, you want to make it nice for them. I missed the first thread, howzabout a little background on the guy....how long have you been together, what does he like to do, and is there something common-interest wise that would be fun for both of you, tickets to a sporting event, concert, something like that, that you can get him? Or is it too soon for anything that big?
Sorry, I'm coming in at the 11th hour here, I don't mean to make you repeat yourself--but I love doing cool things for other people so I bet we can come up with something fun!

If you aren't getting it on...a gift certificate of about $20-$25 to someplace he likes.
If you're getting it on...A nice card or a package of totally green M&Ms would work, but only if he knows that the green ones make you horny.
Maybe just make him a really nice dinner of steak and a bj. I'm sure all guys like that. Oh...and don't forget to wear an apron and nothing else. He'll like that.
So I've heard...

If he golfs, gift certificates for a round of golf or even just 9 holes always go over well.

Genie, He's the wine guy (maybe that'll ring some bells). I took him a box of chocolates for our second date when he was cooking for me. We've been seeing each other for a few weeks (literally no more than about 3, I think). I really like the idea of tickets to a baseball game or something. That would be a lot of fun. And, yes, I really like getting people things they will really enjoy.

HYPERASHEL, we're beyond the tongue.
Ms. Jenn, We're gettin' it on.
RunsLikeaGirl, he deosn't play golf. But he loves snow boarding. It's not really the season for a gift like that though.

Oooh, the wine guy, I do remember!! How cool that it's working out so far, I'm happy for you! If the baseball game thing is something you would enjoy too, then everybody wins (although I'm sure most of the guys here are over Jenn's suggestion too...LOL).

you could check to see if there are any local wine testing fairs going on. this is the time of year for those to start. i know that here in Atlanta and when i was in DC there would be some local wine testings in small neighborhoods.

I second the steak and a B J suggestion.
It won't matter what else you get him.

Listen to Jenn and save money.
As a guy, I couldn't possibly get a better gift.
