My best friends mom passed away this afternoon. She had a mild heart attack Saturday morning, under went angioplasty this morning and was scheduled for a stint tomorrow. Her lungs filled with fluid this afternoon and that was that. Something just seems awry, doctors said she was doing fine and had 90 to 100% chance of quick recovery. I try not to make judgements w/o as many facts as possible but it does seem that somebody dropped the ball here.

Definitely. She was pretty much my second mom as a youth.

Rob someone may or may not have dropped the proverbial ball, but what little I know from being married to a nurse is that the scariest time wasn't when they were at their worst, it was when things seemed to look like they are looking up.
John lost more patients the night before they were due to be released than any other time.
Now, having said that love, you and your friends family are in my thoughts.
