So who runs in a shimmel? Or just in a long sports bra? What size is optimum for this?
I've tried the Adidas long bra tops on at the store..without any sports bra underneath. Then I tried running around the store..well, okay, the fitting room. a 36-38 C bounces too much.
What's the size for the running bra runners only?

I don't think shimmels give as much support as sports bra. I'll wear them for running once in a great while. I like them for biking as they give more coverage without having to wear a shirt. I would think that anyone bigger than a "b" would find they just aren't getting the support they need. That said, with all the different brands I've owned over the years. Adidas shimmels are pretty good. Of course I think it's because they are tight. I feel like a contortionisht getting it on and off and you can count my ribs---but no bounce

Yes, I wear them, a size smaller. With a sports bra, also a size smaller. Though not with those skinny little straps - more substantial racerback style. Prefer them over singlets now; don't like that clinging-to-the-stomach feeling of singlets.

i've have lots of these things and they have to do for fall running cuz i wore one for a 5 mile race i ran this summer and nearly died in it....i rolled it up by the 4th mile to avoid death by overheat.
i like them but they are not very supportive at all, if that is an issue.
editing to say buy them in stripes or prints only if you can find them....my solid neon yellow has been designated treadmill running only.

I like them but only over a sports bra as a double up and the ones with the wider straps.
