To tell the truth, being on the roads after midnight puts a big damper on the fun for me. I rarely drink so that won't be an issue for me.

that's the big reason we do not go out on New Year's Eve. We'll probably head to the video store later and find a couple of movies. either that or we'll camp out in my son's room (with the dvd player) and watch some movies we got for christmas.

I'm the same way. I'll never forget New years 2 years ago we were probably the 2nd car to drive past a really bad accident that had just happened....very disturbing...I couldn't even tell what kind of car it was and I don't see how anyone could have survived...
Tonight, we're going to a friend's very low key "party" (more like gathering of friends) in my BF's neighborhood (all of 3 blocks down!) so we won't be around the crazies driving after midnight.
