Saw it yesterday. Thought it sucked monkeys...I've pooped better story lines than this movie...
(lovely visual, no?)
But seriously, I was once a HUGE Sandler fan, but his past 4 movies have been nothing but a cookie cutted script from the last. Seems that he's more into being 'normal' now and chooses to have all the 'wacky' hijinks happen around him...
By the time the ending came around (terrible cameo's at the baseball game...just terrible)...I would have walked out had I not finished my nachos...
Predictable, unfunny and almost uncomfortably acted (by Jack)....

Thanks! I was debating whether or not to see this one.
I like Adam Sandler--but then again, I have a 12 y/o son who loves that kind of humor. I was hoping Anger Management would be fubby.
So, it's not "Old School" eh?

Not even CLOSE to Old School. We went to the matinee yesterday so it was pretty much ALL high schoolers and I tell ya, even they didn't enjoy the juvenile humor. Why is it so hard for folks to write a clever movie nowadays?
On another note, I watched Dazed and Confused this week on the treadmill and that movie rocks my pants off!!!
"check ya later!"

Hard to look at JN in a comedic role. Thanks for the review. Wait for it to come out and rent it?

I wouldn't bother, cappy.
Jack did great in "As Good As it Gets" but then again, he was surrounded by a great cast.

Um, I think I'm the only person on the planet that did NOT like "As good as it gets". I cannot stand Helen Hunt....
Dazed and Confused?
Party at the moon tower
Now fry like bacon you little freshman piggies. FRY!
Martha Washington man, she was a hip, hip, hip lady, man.
What are you looking at? Wipe that face off your head
never seen it.

Didn't like that movie either, surprised she won an Acacdemy Award for it

I'm not a big Adam Sandler fan, but I have liked some of his stuff. (Happy Gilmore, witness?) But other movies I'd rather stick a fork in my eye than watch (any of the last two or three).
That being said, I thought Anger Management was funny. There wasn't any of the really stupid humor he's known for and no sight gags. It drags in a part, but overall I found it an amusing way to waste a few hours.
Like any film of that genre, it's ultimately forgettable, so unless you are dying to see it, you could wait to rent it if you're interested.

Shelfie, you are a fan of Christopher Guest, right?
I just saw A Mighty Wind today.
One word: hysterical.

Happy Gilmore is possibly my favorite Adam Sandler movie. Followed closely by Wedding Singer and Billy Madison (a tie).

I just went to see the trailer for that movie and it is hilarious! I loved Best In Show. All the same actors from Best in Show are in A Mighty Wind.

Yeah! I can't wait to see this!!! (In fact I'm watching Spinal Tap in my treadmill room to get pumped up for it.).
Was watching Ebert and Roeper last night and Roeper, of course, loved it. Ebert gave it 3 1/2 stars and yet he gave it a thumbs down? What a dumbass...Of course he said Tommy Boy was 'stupid' as well
"talk about bum cakes, my girl's got em!"
