I don't question that she was insane - anybody who pulled that stunt had to be insane. I despise insanity laws though. Intentional murder is murder is murder. You do it, you get caught, you spend the rest of your life in jail at a bare minimum.

should being insane buy one a "get out of jail free" card? having not clicked on the link yet, does it say what will become of her? I mean, if she's insane, and committed murder, she should be "placed" somewhere for the safety of society as well as her own safety. shouldn't she?

She's committed to a state mental hospital. And probably will be for life.

As long as she never as another day of freedom for the rest of her natural life, I feel justice is being served.

I agree with the jury's decision. I was really surprised when the original jury found her guilty. What she did was terrible, and I just don't have any doubt that committed the crimes while not being sane. I'm not so sure I would be against the mental insitution eventually releasing her provided she was medically unable to have any children.

And I still hold her husband partly responsible for her actions yet he escaped all blame.

I wonder if it were a man doing the same act would he be treated as fairly.

I am sure there would be hundreds waiting to push the needle in his arm.

The verdict seems just, as long as she never leaves that place.

We'll never know until a man gives birth.
