Way to go Granny !!! I hope I'm half as good at 90 myself !!
Granny, 90, goes sky-diving
A woman celebrated her ninetieth birthday by sky-diving.
Grandmother, Mary Armstrong, jumped out of the plane at 12,000ft.
The widower plummeted at 120mph, strapped to an instructor. She was in freefall for more than 30 seconds before the chute finally opened at around 6,000ft over Ashford, Kent.
According to the Mirror she said: "It was lovely. It was a beautiful day for it and I can't wait to have another go."
It is Mary's third parachute jump in four years.
Mary, from East Moseley, Surrey, has seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her exploits have raised more than £1,000 (US $ 2,000) for horse charities.

go granny go. diving out of a plane at her age takes some big ones, don't know if they're synthetic or not!
i did see a piece on the 2005 hawaii ironman last weekend that showed an 80 yo guy finishing, upright, with his grandkids and kids running him through the finish line. it was so good.

I disagree, she is already 90 no big deal if something goes wrong with the jump as she has already lived a full life.

right, she's already lived longer than alot of people....but just gathering her mental self, her physical self, just the process of learning to do that, going thru the lessons, just the "bother" of it all....i'm thinking that takes bigones at her age.
i'm such a burnout.

Mike just did surgery on a 70+ lady that did the same thing for her birthday, said she "always wanted to". Surgery was for her broken ankle and she said "it was worth it"
