A couple of weeks ago i made a post where i shared the e-mail that told me that i made it into the liner notes for the new Jennifer Knapp album. I picked the album up yesterday and here is my note that was included.

"Joe S. From Roseville, Mn.

I wasn't a Christian when i was in college, but i wanted to believe. Knowing the type of music that i like, a friend recommended that i listen to Jennifer Knapp. I did and the song that resonated the most in my life was "Martyrs and Thieves". Listening to it, i felt that Jennifer was not just singing about her life but about my own. When she sang the second stanza about the ghosts in her past and pictures less proudly displayed, i knew that she was singing about me. By the end of the song i finally felt like someone understood where i was in my life. Without Jennifer's music and this song in particular, i may never have become a Christian because i wouldn't have taken that first step. Miss Knapp, thank you so much for your ministry of music. I don't think i can possibly express hor much it has meant in my life. I appreciate the honesty that you put into your music about faith, doubt, pain and everything that goes along with the Christian life. When i wasn't a believer i was still listening to your music. Your music was a light in the darkness that was my life "Martyrs and Thieves" remains my favorite song of your simply because of what it meant to me. I don't want to make this any longer than necessary so i will just stop here and say two more words: Thank you."

I was flipping through the booklet, and i had (by far) the longest testimony out of them all.

The fun thing is that i know the other person who was selected for "Martyrs and Thieves".

For each of the songs selected for the first disc, a couple of song testimonies were included for each of the 15 songs, 2 or 3 each.

Ditto that.

Thanks Pug. I recently discovered a few Christian Artists as well (I never thought that I would listen to Christian Music!) The artists are Chagall Guevera, Steve Taylor and Switchfoot.

Pretty good stuff!

That makes me feel good. I highly recommend Jennifer Knapp anyway (as my favorite musician and all), so everyone go out and buy her cd!
