Thank you all for your congrats! Celeste Kiyomi ("heavenly beauty") and I are doing great. As you know, I was scheduled for my c-section on 11/4. When I went in for my doctor's appointment on 11/1 and they noticed my blood sugar levels were still high they said I needed to go ahead and deliver as soon as possible. I was going to have her on 11/1 but there ended up being an emergency operation for someone else and the anesthesiologist wouldn't be done until after 2 am. So, they gave me the option to wait until after that or eat dinner and be the first c-section in the morning. Obviously I chose to eat. Smile That night during my hospital stay everything went pretty uneventful with the exception of one thing (that I won't go into the details of for the sake of everyone reading this). But let's just say I'm glad I was in the hospital instead of at home when this happened. It was something normal but something that could seem frightening...if you ladies know what I mean! Wink

On 11/2 I ended up having a scheduled c-section and for all the emotional things I went through with the whole "I don't want a spinal" thing let me tell you that it was WONDERFUL!!!!!!! This delivery was SOOOOO much nicer than having a baby the natural way. And, I did not envy my neighbor that night when from 1-3 a.m. all I could do was hear her screaming!!!

I.Felt.Nothing!!!

Of course, I have been on percocet since then so everything is pretty much la-la land to me but I'm backing off taking those and although I feel a little bit of pain it is controllable.

Celeste and I had a rough night last night but I'm sure each night will just keep getting better the more we get used to each other.

She is really precious. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to finally have her in my arms.

Joshua is so in love with her it isn't funny. He cried when he saw her the first time - out of joy. It was so touching. Smile

...and daddy....well...he just got back from Burlington's Baby store...this girl is going to be spoiled rotten!!!!

Beautiful name!!!! Glad it all worked out so well. Keep on those pain pills while you can though! Wink Just kidding, it's good to wean off them, just keep taking it easy. Luckily Joshua is old enough to know better than to come and jump on your tummy....that was my biggest danger after my c/s this time! Wink

Keep us updated and post more pics!!!!!! pink love
