Mrs. H is having some complications from her surgery and is back on a liquid diet. Anybody got any fabulous (prefferably) non-alcoholic drinks I can make her for Thanksgiving dinner?

Why I've never really pondered having "fabulous" and "non-alcoholic" in the same sentence, or drink for that matter.
I shall ask my coworkers if they've heard of such mystical beings.

How about a Bloody Mary without the vodka? Use V-8 instead of tomato juice if she can stomach the acid, it tastes better.
Some of the drink mixes at the supermarket do not have the alcohol added like the ones at the liquor store....daiquiris (or better yet make em with fresh berries like a smoothie) or mudslides?
What would she drink if she could have the regular kind?

OK, you can post recipes with alcohol in them, I just don't know if she'll drink them. The only alcohol I can ever remember seeing her drink is wine.

Sparkling Apple Cider
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 0 mins Servings: 4
Ingredients
2 cups apple cider
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup ginger ale
1 1/2 cups ice crushed
Directions
In a pitcher, combine apple cider, lemon juice, sugar, and ginger ale. Mix together and serve over crushed ice.

Is she on a non-solid diet, or a true liduid diet? if it's the latter, your pretty restricted, jello, broths, water, tea, coffee. oooh for a treat kool-aid.
sorry for Mrs H. bummer of a time for a liquid diet.

Hey folks i gotta chime in here with a medical warning.
in mediceine liquid diet is VERY strict. Puree and blendered stuff is not a liquid.
the sparkling Cider sounds good, try that with the crushed ice ( like a frozen margarita)
but smOothies and purees and others "liquids" like that are out of the question for a "true" liquid diet. if she is on a soft food diet then go for it.
just don't want Mrs H sicker is all folks. i'll get off my high horse now.
not trying to insult anyone or anythig like that.
