Very well said to the author.
I don't know that i agree with the enemy winning a strategic victory, but I do agree that a parent's honest and heartfelt grief and anger can do a disservice to the sacrifice of their son or daughter.
I also agree with the soldier when he said that no matter what we think of the reason for going and whether or not that was the right decision, that we have to give all the support we can to the troops so that they can do the best job possible in stabilizing Iraq and Afghanistan. Once we start to do the job, we have to do the job all the way.
