[quote="Gogirlgo"][quote="genie"]I agree, and Go, you can try to turn this into another partisan politics "if you aren't a conservative everyone here hates you" argument as you have in the past

Why would you infer that? It IS hard to be different from conservatives here and get a fair shake but I'm not sure I've posted anything in this thread that would imply that, so who is it here that really just wants to argue?

And did Pebbs and Bam Bam leave because they were too busy, too?

Ah, come on.....you are sinking pretty low now. You certainly must know that it is real poor taste to bring other people into this. Your "inference" may be right that they left for other reasons......but geesh......you have no class by mentioning their names in a controversial thread to make a point.

I'm not sinking anywhere. Genie mentioned some people, I'm asking her about others. I'm sure Bam won't mind.

Am I glad Reagan is dead? No. Well, kind of. It's time. But I am also kind of ashamed to admit that there was a small part of me that enjoyed the fact that he suffered for years.

Shame, shame, shame...
This is what sickened me. I don't like to watch or see the suffering of anyone. I certainly would not wish it upon anyone either. Confused

Point well made, Marcie and I think that's what a lot of people here have been saying that apparently isn't being understood or is being deliberately ignored. Pissing on someone's grave is just wrong, whether you liked them or not.

I just think it's sad that our country has become so partisan that we can't even mourn the passing of a President without a politicol debate erupting.

God bless President Reagan and his family.

and if I said this about an AIDS patient I would be what? Exactly. Double standards as usual.

I do not wish any affliction on anyone. I have seen far too much suffering in my years. For someone to make a statement like detests me.

You know, I wrote this thinking very hard about it first. I don't believe that I would ever "piss on" someone elses grave no matter the situation. I'm reaching deep into my soul here when I say this. I try very hard to think that I would be the same way with a child abuser out there who has just harmed my child. I would hope and pray that I would not wish that person dead.

Whatever your political affiliation is fine with me. Whatever you believe... is fine as well. Who you voted for, who you didn't... is fine. Whether you liked a President or not...is fine with me. I think everyone is entitled to their own views. I just cannot fathom ever wishing another human being to suffer or to die. I just cannot. It's amazes me to see such lack of human respect and compassion. RR was leading our country. He may have said or done things that were not all that great. However, I don't think one of his policies was to wish others to die. Confused
