story
some of the injuried were flown to CHOP earlier today. Robin will likely be taking care of them tomorrow.
this is very sad. The dirtbag is a coward, dispite his "said" problems, picking on among the most peaceful and kind people in this world and especially killing the children is a cowardly act. It is just like a thug terrorist. He also took the cowards way out.
to bad justice will not be served here.

Justice was served in the sense that he's been judged and sentenced by God already. The only thing his going through the process of a trial would be to possibly get at what his motive was - what exactly happened to him (as he claimed) twenty years ago. Even so, that wouldn't bring his victims back.

my wife and I are good friends with some Amish people. We have spent time with them in their house and know them quite well. I understand Amish culture and customs as well as any "english" around.
I am as saddened as mad.

this is the third story like this in the news, not counting the Canadian college one. my daughter hears this sadness every morning; another school killing. i think she's beginning to believe it's standard operating procedure and if it happens, it happens.

As this story comes out, there's more and more scary stuff about this. Apparently he had planned this out for days, and had all the supplies with him, including 600 rounds.
If there's a silver lining to this, it's the discussions now wondering if this could have been detected before it happened. In this case, they have evidence of behavior in the days before that should have signalled to coworkers and family that something was up. Unfortunately, no one persued anything. And in today's society, I think that most people just sit back and try to not get involved.
I can't imagine what those families are going through right now.

Amish Communities are so very close. I gives me chills just thinking that this and many other attacks such as this could have been prevented...

The PA Legislature is right now, this week, making decisions on gun control. WOnder if this will have any impact. Two of the injured girls died during the night.

wow are you that desperate to advance a cause?
would they be less dead if he nailed the doors shut and burned the school down with a few gallons of gasoline?

 | The pro-control people may use this as a reason (I would be surprised if they didn't). But I don't think Go's comments were to start a debate on gun control - I saw it more of an observation than anything.
