Welcome to all the newbies! Don't be afraid to jump in and say almost anything. Everybody here supposedly likes everyone else so spill your guts and tell us about yourselves! I saw Mako's intro and good luck with your triathalon training.
Me,
I am a Purdue ALumni living in Jacksonville Florida, (and it figures that the only other Florida Runner is FLARunner and he is an IU grad  ) I started running about 18 months ago to lose weight and I have dropped 20 pounds1  I am happily married with a 3 year old son and a 7 month old daughter. Two great reasons to run so I can stay healthy to be around to bug them in my old age. 
I am alsotraining for my first marathon in December, which the Mrs. thinks is nuts.
So I say again Welcome, crack open a beer and soak up the hilarity that can occur here at times.
