Marcus Michael Harming!!!
Born on Saturday, Dec 14th, @3:35 am. Both Mom and Baby are doing great! (Hopefully ph can attach the pics here that I sent. I believe there is a head shot, a body shot, and one with me, brother, sister,and baby. John, let me know if you got 'em) - Done, PH
We went in at 2:30 pm on Friday the 13th. The plan was we were going to have her water broke and go from there. The doc checked my wife, and stripped her membranes and had her strapped into the contraction monitor. She started having contractions right away, and was progressing nicely. The Doc said she didn't really consider it an induction.
Around 10 pm they broke her water, and the contractions started coming hard and fast. They gave her something called a "interphecal?" basically a shot in the back, not as strong as a epidural, but it did kill most of the pain.
Well her contractions started slowing down after that. And they waited a couple hours, and then they had to start the petocin drip. The contractions then started picking up. By 3 am or so, we were ready to rock and roll.
Mrs. Coach was a real trooper, and did a amazing job! She pushed little (and I use that term loosely) Marcus out in @ 1/2 an hour.
Marcus weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces, and 22 inches long. He is over a pound bigger than our daughter was , and 2 inches longer than our first son, so he is our biggest baby.
The kids love him, and I am bringing them home tomorrow (Monday) around noon. I'll be checking in from time to time(when I'm not on diaper detail).
