It sounded like he stayed true to the original. Apparently his Mom had been bugging him for years to record a gospel album. He finally did it. It was an interesting show/concert.

I'm not big on country music but for true singing ability female country singers have no equal. Alison Kraus, Martina McBride, Sara Evans and several others are truly gifted singers.
