Some posts in Shannon's man post were about this, curious what sort of differences there are.

How old were you and your spouse/sig other when you starting dating?

I was 16, my hubby was 17. I think about that sometimes especially now that we've been together half our lives and how crazy that is. But it's also an amazing thing to see someone over that period of time and all the changes that occur, but what stays the same as well.

What about the rest of you??

It is really weird, when you think of it that way, half your life!

It's also amazing how young 15 and 18 seem to me now. My daughter is 9, and I can't imagine her coming to me in 6 years and telling me she thinks she's in love! Just weird.

Yet, when we were that age we were convinced we were plenty old enough to know the real thing when we felt it! Not that it didn't work out, but it's probably a fluke that it did.

So true. It's very weird, but honestly it's like once we were together no one else was ever right. We broke up for a semester in college and I was actually dating someone else and the day my hubby and I saw each other for the first time since breaking up, just to hang out, we knew we'd been idiots and got back together. But it is lucky that it all worked out for us, I know I will be a nervous wreck thinking about my kids in some of the situations we were in and dealing with the emotions at such a young age!!!

We were both 20. I remember thinking if we were still dating when he turned 21 I would throw him a party, which I did.
